Should the government stop giving extra unemployment benefits to get people back to work?

T oday, the US Government released the jobs report for April 2021. The Labor Department’s April jobs report was a big disappointment, showing payrolls rose by only 266,000. Analysts expected a monster number closer to 1 million. The report also showed an increase rather than the expected decrease in the unemployment rate for April. Analysts thought we’d see a new pandemic-era low.  Many people are receiving unemployment benefits that pay more than a full time job would be. Some other people can not go back to work and pay chid care at the same time and make enough money to live on. The cost of buying everyday products is rising fast.  I just read this interesting article from Yahoo Finance on this issue.
